Reality and Visible Light

We use our senses to interpret the external world. Many actions that relate to how reality is perceived and conceptualized are due to interpretations. Sight brings pictures to the brain. The brain, in turn, makes the image into a useful rendition of something that is taken as real. Sight operates to detect the signals of visible light (VL) and these interpreted signals are perceived as everyday reality. However, the constructed reality based on sight, can be a limitation to the many possible realities that can be perceived and, thus, constructed. Basically, the fullness of someone’s reality is experienced within a circumscribed context based on the finitude of the senses.

Children experience the world through a sight / touch process. Socialization proceeds along the lines of things being this or that. Every adult, as a child, was validated as they accepted the reality construct that was presented to them. Adults, as children, played ‘make-believe’ and had broad levels of imagination. Through the socialization process those abilities / tendencies are diminished over time. Children become locked into the visually based reality construct and this carries over into adulthood. The reality that most ascribe to has been formed from a limited and limiting socialization process.

The rods and cones of the eyes, sight receptors, respond to VL, a small component of the Electo-Magnetic Spectrum (EMS). Within the EMS, which can be envisioned as a 100 yd football field, VL would comprise only a total of 1 ft of that same field; that comes out to be approximately 0.0035% of the football field. VL is what enables humans to interpret and interact with the Earth plane existence. Every object on earth is predominantly detected by sight, in the form of images. These images comprise, for many, the composition of reality. The susceptibility of sight to VL is key to conceptualizing one’s environment.

VL illuminates the seen reality. What people take to be solid (state) reality is composed of atoms / molecules, as they are called. However, studies have shown that atoms / molecules, as such, are overwhelmingly comprised of ‘empty space’. The seemingly solid aspects of this ‘empty space’, atoms and molecules, have been analyzed experimentally and shown to be influenced by the act of observing. An experiment called ‘The Double Slit Experiment’ shows that energy, as light photons, can exist in two phases, as waves and as particles. The act of observing light photons can cause a shift from the wave aspect to the particle aspect. Molecules and atoms have also been analyzed in similar experiments. Let us surmise then that reality is malleable and can be altered by how one chooses to see it. As humans, we have the ability to influence what is perceived as reality.

A person’s visually perceived, personal, reality is typically stultified; thoughts, actions and reactions, as a consequence, will be reflective of that. The socialization process greatly influences what is accepted as reality. The foundation of one’s upbringing, exposure to images via television, movies, newspapers, stimulation of desires, fears, animosities, etc, all contribute to how one chooses to conceptualize their reality. Subsequently, thoughts and actions become extensions of these fixed realities. Activities are expressed as habits that are unconsciously anchored into the psyche. Thus, all that is seen and processed forms the substance of a limited reality.

Conceptualized reality is typically ensconced within a limited framework. What is ‘seen’ cannot encapsulate the totality of reality. VL is a small aspect of the EMS. Also, there are existing energies that expand beyond limits of what has been, to date, quantified. Reality can exist and be expressed as an extension of the expansiveness of mind.

Beyond the box
Thinking outside of the box

One learns to see items in their environment as society has presented them. Items are summarily accepted or rejected due, in large part, to socialization. Socialization, by default, locks one into sight-based reality. This anchors acceptable norms into the conscious and the subconscious. “The social construction of reality simply refers to the mutually-established unconscious consensus regarding the ontological status of particulars, as well as how we should live. . . . . (This construction is a consensus of) shared beliefs about what things are, like beauty and reality itself and expectations regarding lifestyle and behavior.”

Tangible reality, readily accessible and easily experienced, is what is regularly perceived by the many. It is necessary and functional for day to day interactions. However, to be comfortable with this reality construct is limiting. Everyday perceptions, as such, can be and must be a base from which to launch forth with dreams, ideas and visions. In other words, the accepted reality construct can be a functional framework that creates a fertile soil from which new possibilities can spring readily forth.

As humans, what is most easily perceived is taken to be real. Many tend to see themselves as they appear to be. The many roles that they fill, when interacting with and relating to others, supports a reality that does not contradict the accepted narrative. As with VL, accepted narratives are small portion of the overall extent of possibilities that are available. When that which is perceived is expanded into what is envisioned, potentials increase correspondingly. Any type of inspiration, whether it be in the form of dreams, visions or ideas, is a way in which reality can be seen anew and appropriately re-conceptualized. Humans need not be confined to the accepted narrative. The potentialities that the mind can perceive of can stimulate the creation of new and different realities. All that is required is to choose it and to do it.

Dream the impossible. Do the unthinkable.

Without VL, existence on earth, as is known, would not be. The eyes and brain interpret VL and provide the basis for perceived reality. Human sight detects only a miniscule portion of the EMS. Yet, reality tends to be based, exclusively, on what is physically seen. There are energies, outside of EMS, that can affect seen reality. It is so much easier to acquiesce to what can be physically assessed and comprehended as opposed to that which cannot be. The familiarity of visually constructed reality is important to navigating the physical earth but it is that familiarity that, in many cases, minimizes the vastness of what, energetically, can be realized within an earthly existence.
