Spiritual Consciousness (A Personal Perspective)

Developing Spiritual Consciousness is a process of piercing the façade of reality to still ‘the Self’ within, and expand beyond, the psycho-energetic oneness of ‘all’ existence. Extremes in polarity are assessed and accepted on a holistic basis. The pilgrimage provides a medium that facilitates enhancing the ability to ‘see’. Inner poise is a by-product of Spiritual Consciousness, as one diligently pursues the quest.

The mundane trappings of reality are seen as (the) insubstantial constructs from which one disassociates themselves. The disengaging is relative to the progress that one makes on the journey. Society functions within a dynamic of typical concerns, similar interests, and binding ideologies. At the core, these aspects support each other while providing a semblance of continual stability. They are accepted as normal by the masses. Through insight acquisition, one develops a thirst for ‘thing less normalized’.

To proceed along the path is to relinquish concepts of overt good and bad as one develops their capacity to ‘see’ the interplay of both extremes. Extremes enliven the projection of a reality. Trying to subordinate one quality, at the expense of promoting the opposite is, in the long run, fruitless. Day needs Night. Good, in one instance, may actually, from a different perspective, in that same instance, be bad. Short term gain from compartmentalization (x vs. y) is a lose – lose. To harmoniously exist within duality can be very beneficial. Body, mind, and spirit can harmoniously thrive within the flux of polarity.

Clarity is enhanced by degrees as one develops ease within context of the journey. The everyday ‘joe blo’ is beholden to the things that fall within their scope of vision. Bills. Family. Material goods. T.V. (favorite shows, new programs, sports) . . . . . These things hold the interest of ‘most people’. The reality to which they cling pretty much is encompassed within those aforementioned bounds. The journey is the vehicle by which the normalized reality incrementally gives way seeing the underlying substance of interconnected existence.

The pursuit of Spiritual Consciousness is the striving for inner unity irrespective of what transpires without. Modern society thrives within a confusing array of distractions, concerns, and desires. This mélange of influences can only bring on angst, strife and emotional instability. Equanimity is rarely achieved while functioning in the everyday state of mind. The everyday state of mind? That mind which is inundated with the incessant flux of thought. By coming into spaciousness (of breath, thought), by monitoring Self within that spaciousness, the journey progresses onward, incrementally.

Achieving Spiritual Consciousness is a personal journey. This little synopsis barely scratches the surface of what that undertaking entails. It lays a framework for the journey. When one begins to question the information by which they have been conditioned, they can choose. The choice, to remain blissfully asleep or to begin the journey of consciousness, is totally on the individual. May that individual be content with whatever they choose.

The beginning is the end, the end is the beginning.
This is a Fractal Representation of Infinity.
