Imagination and attachment are qualities dynamically entwined with the human experience. The human mind employs these qualities in such a way that gives rise to desire. The lust aspect of desire is important for the continuity of life. Yet, lust can balloon beyond beneficial bounds and become quite problematic. Regulation of lust is possible to exercise but is an often forgone, overlooked practice. To be aware of imaginings and attachments is to curtail the influential impact that they can exert on the person.

The human mind is evolved to envision possibilities for and toward which one can strive. The ability for the brain to conceptualize, strategize and foresee is essential to human survival. Imagination is a powerful tool. Animals, to a greater or lesser extent, utilize imaginative capabilities, i.e. hunting strategies. Yet, they do not, for example, build or construct things at a capacity similar to humans. Nor do animals plan mass animal drives, again hunting, to procure sustenance for a community or domesticate other animals as ‘beasts of burden’.
Achieved outcomes can become habitual. Conceptualizing outcomes is the imagining of a desired effect. The effect, if attained, can lead to a series of repeated actions. They are repeated because they are beneficial. Receiving pay for going to work. Cleaning one’s surroundings and making them more enjoyable. They are repeated because they satisfy some need. Making a significant other happy through habitual acts i.e. taking out the trash, backrubs/foot massages, etc. There is also the self-gratification of more lustful intentions. This can be actual or imaginary in the fulfilment of it to which one can become attached.

Continuity of life on earth derives from and is driven by desire as a general lust. There is an overriding urge amongst the majority of inhabitants on earth to find a species mate. Procreation is the general outcome of these unions. The ability to procreate is within all species, whether the species does so sexually or asexually. The tendency among animals to seek out ‘companionship’ is innate. Sex among humans can occur in the absence of it being taught. It, sex, does not need to be overly promoted pursuant to it happening.
A person’s well being and focus can be highjacked as lustful tendencies become overblown. Lust is an urging that gives promise of physical and psychological reward. The act of sex becomes a reward unto itself. Thereby, individuals become attached to these rewards. Sex can be accessed in ways that expand upon the imaginative capability possessed by humans. The imaginations of the individual can run amok and beset them throughout the day. Most people can reign in those compulsions . . . most, but not all.
The power of desire and lust is within the agency of the individual to control, but is one to which the individual will typically submit. Attachment and Imagination are given sway due to societal influences and leanings. Basically, people (mostly men) are addicted to their imaginings about sex and the sexual act. Sex is used to promote and sell many items. Some of the influence is subconsciously directed while some of it is more apparent. Either way Imagination and Attachment are stimulated in such away that normalizes thoughts and the pursuit of sex as an essentiality.

racism, the belief that humans may be divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called “races”; that there is a causal link between inherited physical traits and traits of personality, intellect, morality, and other cultural and behavioral features; and that some races are innately superior to others. The term is also applied to political, economic, or legal institutions and systems that engage in or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race or otherwise reinforce racial inequalities in wealth and income, education, health care, civil rights, and other areas.
Monitoring the flow of thought and recognizing unconscious shifts can give one freedom. The freedom that one achieves is from the mental snares that society puts into place. There are individuals who will express overt desire for another person and proceed to envision / imagine what they would do with that person, if given the chance. Usually, mental entertaining of these imaginings is the extent; the option to physically interact with that other person is not available. Yet, it is attaching mentally that allows this imagined scenario to be regularly indulged. People do not grasp that their lusting is an overspill of desirous fantasizing. It is a form of escapism. This overt lustful preoccupation is an avoidance of issues that one might need to resolve.
